Adding Articles (PDF) to the Learning Library

For Articles

Prep for Post:

  • Open PDF and take a screenshot of the top half of the cover. Rename the screenshot the title of the article.
  • Upload your new image and the PDF to the WordPress Media area.
  • Copy the first few lines of the PDF to memory. Leave it open and go WordPress.

Create the Post:

  • Create a new Learning Library item under Dashboard>Learning Library>Add New
  • Add your title
  • Paste your copied text into the editor (below the Paragraph dropdown and mini menu). Remove all hard returns for responsive text flow.
  • In the Project Categories area check on the “Article” and “PDF” categories
  • In a separate browser tab or window visit Dashboard>Media.
    • Find the PDF you uploaded for this article and click on the title to open it
    • On the right side click the Copy URL to clipboard button.
  • Switch back to the Post tab and scroll down to the Learning Library PDFs area
    • Paste that URL into the PDF Link box
    • Add the Original Publication
    • Add the Article Subtitle if applicable (ie: At the Bench, One Last Tip)
  • On the right, Click the Set Featured Image link and choose the half cover image you uploaded.
    • (TIP: In the Alt Text window on the right side add a title for SEO and accessibility)
  • Click Set Featured Image button.
  • Click Publish
  • View Post (top) to review all info.
Adding Videos to the Learning Library

For Learning Library Videos

Prep for Post:

  • Upload Video to your YouTube Channel
  • Visit the video and click Share (below right)
  • Click Embed and copy the <iframe> code to memory

Create the Post:

  • Create a new Learning Library item under Dashboard>Learning Library>Add New
  • Add your title
  • Click on the Text tab in the Editor (above right)
  • Paste your copied iframe code
  • Publish your Post
  • Check your post
Adding a Workshop Product (not a course)

For Add a Workshop Product

This is not for adding a new Course. This is for adding the Workshop to your eCommerce shop for registering students.

Most of this page is built in a template

  • Create a new Learning Library item under Dashboard>Learning Library>Add New
  • Add your title
  • Click on the Text tab in the Editor (above right)
  • Paste your copied iframe code
  • Publish your Post
  • Check your post
Adding a Student Tool (Wholesale) Product

Add a Student Tool (Wholesale) Product

This is for adding the Tool products for students. This works with the Wholesale pricing plugin, tools will only be visible to logged in students.

  • Create a new product- Dashboard>Products>Add New – OR- duplicate a similar tool visit Dashboard>Products, roll over product and click Duplicate.
  • Add/Change your title
  • In the editor window add/edit description
  • Below that in Product Data, add the Regular Price and the Wholesale Price (next to Student ($))
  • Tax Status: Taxable
  • To the right of that, in Product Categories, click “Student Tools”
  • Below that Add a Product Image
  • Scroll up to the Publish Block.
    • Under Restrict To Wholesale Roles:
      Set this product to be visible only to specified wholesale user role/s only” and add “Student” to the dialog box.
    • Click Publish
Adding a Student User

Add a Student User

From Dashboard>Users, Choose “Add New”.

Add Student Info-

  • User Name (Recommend similar structure for all. IE- Capital First Initial Last Name- KWolf, or email address)
  • Add Email address
  • First Name, Last Name and Website are not needed.
  • Choose “Student” as the Role.
  • For Forum Role Choose “Blocked” for in-person students.
  • Click Add New User

Students will receive an email with their login info.
